With basketball season, comes the need for additional funds that the basketball team needs to raise for uniforms, trips, equipment and more. There are some great, easy ways for your basketball team to raise money for the season.

Your basketball team can do a coffee and candy fundraiser. Because money is tight for everyone, it is great to be able to offer something people can enjoy that is cheap and tasty at the game. Coffee is incredibly affordable and can be sold for a profit during your season games. All you need to do is have parents, the basketball cheerleaders, siblings, team helpers or members of the team who might be injured set up a booth and sell refreshments during the game.

To make it really easy, buying candy at a big box store, and adding water bottles or soda to the list too is a great way to go. But, because it can be chilly during the basketball season, having hot coffee for sale is a great way to boost sales.

Have the basketball cheerleaders direct the fans to visit the basketball team coffee and candy booth and support the team often throughout the breaks in the game. Make an announcement and have posters up so the fans know that by purchasing coffee and candy, they are supporting your basketball team fundraising efforts.

You could also add baked goods to your coffee and candy refreshment stand, which is another enticing way to make extra money if you don’t mind a little extra work. You can sell everything at your booth for $1 and you can have your booth at every game. Once you have the inventory, it’s easy. Encourage each member of the basketball team to tell a few people not to stop for coffee on the way to the game – wait and support the team and buy your coffee and treats AT the game.
